No. Most boat tours only cover a small section, usually near Inverness and Loch Ness. Transit across the full 60 miles requires chartering a private vessel or taking a multi-day holiday.
Yes, the 2-hour cruise from Dochgarroch includes views of Urquhart Castle from the water. Always check the specific tour inclusions, as shorter cruises may not reach the castle.
Many sightseeing cruises depart from Dochgarroch Lock, which is near Inverness on the eastern end of the canal.

What a great trip! We decided on the 2hr trip as the 50 mins felt like it might be too short and I’m glad we did. The boat takes you down the canal and into Loch Ness, down to Urquhart castle and back. Plenty of opportunities for photographs and the guides and other staff could not be more helpful, a lovely trip and well worth doing. Definitely the best way to see Loch Ness👍
Wonderful from start to finish, crew were great and helpful, boat was clean and tidy and warm, cafe was good, commentary was fab from Jamie B . Loved Loch Ness 🏴❤️
Had a wonderful afternoon exploring the Loch. Malcolm was a fantastic guide, with lots of local knowledge and plenty of jokes to keep things fun.
